SIP
Internet Engineering Platform

The 'Session Initiation Protocol', or SIP, developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and currently specified as RFC 2361 is quoted as being the "Gold Standard for real-time communications in the enterprise."... (Richard Shockley, VoIP Magazine).

Why have we chosen SIP for our Members and Clients?

SIP has near universal support among vendors of products and services within the communications industry.

SIP is ASCII, and it derives its architecture from HTTP, the basis for the entire Web. Thus, many people find the structure of SIP messages easy to understand and equally easy to decode and debug. It is designed for rapid extensibility of new applications; and further, easily integrates other Internet Protocols such as TCP/IP, TLS, UDP, and Domain Name System (DNS).

In our opinion, no other choice would provide our Members and Clients with the best systems available on the market today.
